As you may have noticed, we have updated the front page of the site, adding some more product images and a short video presentation of us.

We now also carry Samsung HDTVs, including their new LED TV, the thinnest TVs on the market at only 1.2 inches thick. Come in and check it out - the picture is excellent!

We are now in our new location. Our store, with over 25,000 square feet of displays, is located in Central plaza in the former Central Hardware building next to White Castle in Alton. There is plenty of parking and handicap accessibility. New location, larger selection, same great service.

We are proud to announce that we now carry a full line of Maytag and Jenn-Air appliances and stock parts and provide service for these brands as well. Additionally, we have added a super line of cooking grills. The unique Traeger wood pellet grills allow you to "taste the difference" and simplify your cooking experience. On many weekends you will find an outdoor cooking demonstration in front of our building.

Look for our grand opening in mid September: we will have a registration for some terrific products that all visitors to our store will be eligilble to win.

In the meantime, we're conducting a huge moving sale right now in our old location. We are offering big discounts so we don't have to move a lot of the merchandise to our new store. Alton Refrigeration & Home Furnishings is happy to present this, our first website on our own domain. In addition to updating our logo, we have big plans to market our store and our products on the web so that we reach a larger audience. For years, people have been telling us we are like a well-kept secret known only to a select few. Well, we'd like to change that so that everyone has the same opportunity as our loyal customers to buy with confidence. No high-pressure tactics here, just decades of service from a family-owned business intent on providing the absolute best service possible, whether it's answering a question, resolving a problem or servicing a product.

We like to think we are already giving you a good overview of our store as our site exists now. In the future, however, we hope to add more features: a gift registry, the option of receiving monthly newsletters, online news of our sales, or new products we have added and, biggest of all, a dynamic search function that will assist customers in finding the specific product they want and all the details they need in order to finalize purchases, either here or in our store.
